Background
This four week class project was given to individual students with the instructions to choose a day from National Parks Week and to redesign Yosemite's Home Page and Logo as well as to create a poster all while keeping the theme of the chosen day.
For this project, I chose Park RX Day as my theme for the whole project. Park RX Day served to promote good mental and physical health by being active and connecting with nature. This could take form in going out for a stroll outside, or going on a hike in the mountains. Whatever the case may be, the designs had to reflect this theme that promoted good mental and physical health for the logo and the poster. Instructions for the website however, was to completed redesign the homepage on Wix, while including all the current information on it.

Final Logo
For the logo, I wanted the feeling of antiquity while still retaining the themes of physical and mental health. To accomplish this, I decided to use retro or vintage fonts for that feeling of antiquity and closing the logo with ellipses to provide motion for the physical and mental health portion.
Much of my inspiration for this portion are rooted in designs for baseball teams. It served as a great example for having a sort of antiquity to their designs while still retaining that energy of physical activity.
Poster
Website
The poster had four requirements listed on the assignment brief. It required me to have the Park RX Day Symbol, the National Parks Logo, my redesigned logo, and text that read "Celebrating National Parks Week". I chose a color palette that would stand out while having colors that represented nature such as green and yellow. I planned for the poster to show off happy hikers to further promote the themes of Park RX Day.
As per the instructions, the homepage was my own take on organizing the information presented in the official website. The other two instructions was to use my redesigned logo as the site logo, and to include a COVID-19 alert. The entire home page was designed on Wix.
